In a world full of darkness, hope is scarcely found in little circles of light:
places of love and community, where people overcome their differences to focus on what unifies them.
Lo! This is a tale about a hidden city.
White as a flower, it stood upon a hill,
veiled in the midst of the encircling mountains.
White as a little circle of light, it stood
unconquered yet, amidst the ever-looming shadow.
But as all light is condemned to fade, so too was the day of the city’s doom drawing nigh.
One day, a Messenger is sent by the Lord of Waters to warn the King of its destined downfall.
Intuition, too, senses the inevitable fate closing in. But as the King refuses to listen, the city falls betrayed from within by a Mole.
Yet in those times of despair, hope is born: a small child, chosen to carry a star across the heavens.
Today, it still shines as a reminder to stay hopeful even in our darkest hours.

INTUITION
A wise woman gifted with foresight. She trusts her knowledge, her emotions, her inner voice. Though others may dismiss her warnings or fail to understand the truths she senses, she remains calm and unwavering. In silence and certainty, she begins making every necessary preparation to protect her loved ones and guide them towards the doom that was appointed to them.
THE MESSENGER
Sent by the Dweller in the Deep, he bears the message of inevitable change. All we do and all we cherish is bound to perish one day. Acceptance turns decay into transformation; resistance turns it into suffering. The more we embrace this truth, the better life will treat us. Or is it we who treat life better?
THE KING
The King carries both responsibility and authority over the sanctuary he provides for his citizens.
He will do anything to preserve the safe haven of his city – the Circle of Light he built with his own hands of marble stone – and protect it from the lengthening Shadow.
Will he lead, or must he accept to be led in a greater design?
Even as he fails to succeed in the battle of long defeat, as we all do, his actions are still part of the Music and add to the fulfilment of the divine plan.
THE MOLE
He is engaged in the Circle’s safekeeping on the surface, yet he must ask himself whether he truly acts in accordance with his surroundings – or merely pursues his own goals driven by his desire for power, regardless of what serves the greater good.
At last he stands before a terrifying decision: Will he confront and integrate his shadow, weighing the true motives behind his actions and thus unfold his true potential, or will he withdraw further into isolation, succumbing to an illusion that will cause harm to many ?
HOPE
As a result of the union of Intuition and the Messenger, a child is born. It is said to be destined to one day carry a star across the heavens, as a sign to all peoples to remain hopeful when the shadow closes in.
THE WARDEN
He is the keeper of the Gate and the protector of the Circle of Light. As Lord of Fountains, he is bound to the will of the Water and acts in harmony with its command.
He stands firm and steady and when the timing is right, he opens the Gate to let change in and allows necessary transformation to unfold.
Yet when danger is at hand, foes will fear the spike of his helmet as he approaches in battle, moving with the rythm of the greater Melody.
THE GOLDEN FLOWER
A glorious hero who meets his doom when he faces the terror of fire. After falling into the abyss, his body is borne up by the Lord of Winds as his soul leaves its vessel to enter the Unseen World. After his burial, flowers start blooming upon his tomb, heralding his return and reminding us that every end also marks a new beginning.
